The mission of Suburban Service League is to provide financial assistance, through fundraising events, to individuals and organizations in need, focusing on the southern suburbs.
Suburban Service League is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

2019-2020 President's Message

Suburban Service League is an all women volunteer organization whose mission is to provide financial assistance to organizations who help people in need. The League also gives annually to families, individuals, and community members in need of financial assistance in the south suburbs of Chicago.
Through fundraising events our members solicit financial support from corporations, small businesses and individuals. We also employ a “hands on” approach by volunteering and supporting the charities with whom we work.
This year we celebrate 56 years of service. Last year the League financially supported 54 charities and 6 individuals located in our neighboring communities. We also added 4 new organizations to our growing list of charities.  Suburban Service League volunteers provide meals, beds, bedding, clothes, day to day living supplies, as well as financially support individual’s educational needs with scholarships to local community colleges and high schools.
As of Suburban Service League’s 50th anniversary in 2013, the League has donated over $2.4 million and are proud to report that every dollar raised goes directly back to communities we serve. We closely scrutinize every donated dollar to assure legitimate funding.
Some of the charities Suburban Service League supports include: Aunt Martha’s, Will County Children’s Advocacy Center, Good Shepard Center, Together We Cope, Cancer Support Centers, Lincolnway Special Recreation Foundation, Respond Now, SOS Children’s Village, PADS, area Food Pantries, Journey, Jones Memorial Community Center, South Suburban Family Shelter, South Suburban Special Recreation Association, Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest, Bridge Teen Center and Homewood Science Center, Home 2 Home Project, and Zelda’s Kitchen Witches. For a complete list, please visit our site (http://suburbanserviceleague.org) and click on Benefactors and Resources tab.
If you would like to send a donation, attend our fundraiser the Crystal Ball 2019 or learn more about the organization, please contact me at: info@suburbanserviceleague.org
The members of Suburban Service League greatly appreciate your interest in helping us help those in need in our communities.
Sincerely,
Jeri Savaria
